I had a pleasant two-night stay at Radium Kagaya with my family. The hotel staff were incredibly attentive, providing us with amenities to make our stay enjoyable with a young baby. However, the room lacked adequate soundproofing, which led to some challenges during bedtime for our daughter. Overall, the food was good but somewhat repetitive, making it better suited for shorter stays.

Rooms
7.0
The executive suite was spacious in concept, but sound and light traveled easily between the living area and bedroom. This made it difficult to have light on while our daughter was sleeping. Also, the cleanliness seemed to have declined since my last visit, with some areas needing more attention.
Service
9.0
The staff were exceptionally helpful and accommodating, especially considering we had a baby. They provided a sterilizer and tailored our meals to suit our needs. Their commitment to making our stay comfortable was apparent.

The hotel is well-placed in Beitou, just a short walk to the MRT and surrounded by convenience stores. It’s easy to visit nearby attractions, making it a great spot for relaxation and sightseeing.
Dining

The meals in the restaurant were delicious and cater well to families. However, I found that the menu could become repetitive if staying for multiple nights. The breakfast was decent but has decreased in quality over the years.

The hotel offers a lovely private onsen experience, which is a highlight. Yet, I did notice some areas, like the towel wall and coffee table, were not in the best condition.

The executive suite was spacious, but I found the sound and light separation quite lacking. The food was delicious, although slightly repetitive, which might not be ideal for longer stays. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but there were some areas that needed improvement. 😊

I had a pleasant two-night stay at Radium Kagaya Taipei, with the traditional Ryokan experience being a highlight. The staff were genuinely attentive and made my stay comfortable. However, the room cleanliness needed some improvement, and I found the common hot spring to be slightly disappointing. Overall, it's a relaxing stay, but with some areas that could use refinement.

Rooms

The design of the Japanese-Style Standard Suite was authentic and comfortable, but it felt a bit cramped for a family. The lack of windows made it feel claustrophobic at times. I appreciated the daily yukata and sock changes, but better attention to cleanliness is needed in the bathroom.
Service

The service was really good throughout my stay. The staff were always friendly, accommodating, and went the extra mile, even providing meals catered for my needs. They made it easy for families with kids, showing that they truly care about guest comfort.

Dining at the hotel was generally very good, offering a variety of meals. While the breakfast was fresh and delicious, it could get repetitive after a few days, especially if staying longer. However, I enjoyed the authenticity of the Japanese and Taiwanese choices.
Facilities

I was impressed with the range of facilities at the hotel, including the private onsen. However, the communal hot spring felt outdated and small, which was a letdown compared to my expectations.
